Ndou Hunting Safaris specializes in all South African game species including four of the big 5. Hunting mainly takes place at Ndou Safaris but occasional concession hunting is allowed should listed species not be available on our Ranch.
Situated on parts of these farms is Ndou Safaris. Exquisite African accommodation that can comfortably sleep up to 30 guests.
Ndou Safaris consists of 13,500 hectares (135 km² | 33 360 Acre | 52.13 mile²) that compromises four neighbouring farms only 60km away from the Botswana border.
Excursions are available in and around the area for the non-hunters so everyone can have a great South African experience.
In Venda, Ndou translates to “elephant”.

The following are recommended:

  • Any .30 calibre for plains game
  • .375 calibre and bigger for dangerous game

All rifles must be declared and proof of ownership must be supplied. Temporary rifle permits are issued at ports of entry into South Africa. If you’re unable to bring your own rifle and ammunition into South Africa, available rifles can be hired at a cost of $40 per rifle per day plus ammunition at an extra cost depending on the calibre.

Bird hunting is available to a limit and upon request. Only game birds are to be hunted.

Limpopo has over 600 different bird species of which 420 are resident. Limpopo is the perfect place to view some of South Africa’s most beautiful birds.
Clothing & Equipment

Recommended for a day out hunting are lightweight, camouflage/khaki clothing and comfortable smooth-soled walking boots.

A sweater and/or windbreaker will be needed for cold early mornings and late evenings. For safety, please remember sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses and to make your hunt extra special, remember a torch, your camera, binoculars and reading material.

If you intend to bring any electrical appliances along, be sure to bring the appropriate convertor. In South Africa we use two- or three-pronged plugs on an electrical current of 220V.

IMPORTANT
  • Clients traveling via chartered aircraft should pack the minimum. A daily laundry service is available.
  • Shooting from a vehicle is not allowed.
  • Certain species require permits. Please enquire accordingly.
  • Some species occur only in certain habitats thus meaning different provinces.
  • Some species like bushpig, will be a night hunt.
  • Certain species require CITES / TOPS permits.

Availability of species is subject to the annual quota, seasonality and veterinary restrictions. Be sure to enquire in advance to assure availability.

While every effort is made to ensure the hunting client’s safety, no responsibility can be accepted for any illness, accident or loss/damage to personal belongings.

Our tariff is based on current prices and is subject to change without prior notice.

Important information

Terms & Bookings

A 50% deposit is required to secure all safaris and are non-refundable. The balance is due 1 month before arrival.
All outstanding costs of hunted game, activities etc. are due on the last day of the safari.
